Do You Need Credit to Be Able to Borrow?

The short answer is, it depends. If you choose to buy real estate the traditional way, you’ll need credit to borrow money to buy with. That is unless you have great piles of cash lying about and don’t understand the magic of leverage. Traditional buying involves qualifying for new institutional (bank) financing, usually a new 30-year loan. The interest rate and discount points charged are based on the creditworthiness of the borrower. The worse the credit, the more you pay. What could have been a good cash flow generator breaks even or loses money when the investor (borrower) has bad credit! Good credit is the foundation of many investors’ road to wealth because they intend to go to the bank and qualify for a loan to buy the property.

You Can Buy Property If You Have Great Credit or If You’re Dead Broke With NO Credit
