This volume is designed to take you through the process of negotiating for the best deal. The First Step is to Learn Your Own Style
You may not realize it, but you need to first understand your own personality type, then learn the types of people you will be negotiating with. This training will walk you through learning more about your own personality traits by going through the Street Smart Personality Inventory. Knowing who you are is a very important step in becoming an effective negotiator – this is something you don’t want to skip!
This knowledge will pay you BIG dividends down the road many times over if you do the work.
Learn to Get Comfortable With Strangers
You’re going to get comfortable asking personal questions of people you have never met. This insight and information will give you the tools to create the winning deal. This course has the exercises to help you do this. Then you also get to have some fun doing a little detective work using the tools from Street Smart Secrets of Buying, you should be able to create at least three deals that meet your needs and the needs of the Seller.
Our goal is “Win – Win”
This is my favorite type of negotiation. Nothing to combat. As long as you can meet their needs, you will have a deal. All your negotiations should have this as the goal. Regardless of your personality or theirs, if things are not meshing and you are not communicating, just come back to this simple statement,
“If I can get you what you need and I can get what I need… will that work for you?”
They inevitably say “Yes”. You say, “Win-Win solutions is all we are trying to do here. Let’s review this offer again…” This allows you to refocus the conversation into needs versus wants.
